Friars Fire near Fashion Valley burns 15+ acres, evacuations lifted
Fire crews were called to a fire burning along Friars Rd. near Fashion Valley Mall in San Diego on Tuesday afternoon just after noon. San Diego Fire said it is burning up a nearby hill with medium fuel and structures are threatened.
UPDATE: Crews stop forward progress of brush fire on Friars Road in Mission Valley
As of 3:45 p.m., all evacuation orders connected to the fire were lifted. The San Diego Police Department told an ABC 10News producer on the scene around 1:30 p.m. that crews stopped the fire's forward progress at three acres.
