People are speaking out about plans to let vehicles drive through parts of the American River Parkway. We first brought you the story last February when the county parks department said it wanted to reopen a road in the Sailor Bar nature area that had been closed for more than a decade.

The county has said reopening the trail is a way to make sure more people can use it after vehicle access was closed in 2009 due to budget constraints.
