Manchester United have rebuffed initial Napoli interest in winger Alejandro Garnacho. Napoli have made Garnacho their primary target with the money raised from Kvicha Kvaratskhelia's impeding move to Paris St-Germain. United had already made it clear they were not encouraging bids for Garnacho or England midfielder Kobbie Mainoo.

Napoli are unlikely to meet Manchester United's valuation of Alejandro Garnacho. The Italian club have had an offer of around £40million rejected for Garnacho, whose valuation was estimated at €97.4m (£82.27m) by the CIES Football Observatory last week.

However, they have failed with an initial approach for Garnacho that fell significantly below the Red Devils' valuation of the Argentina international. It is not known the precise nature of the communication but it is thought the figure mentioned by Napoli was around £40m.
