This place is known for weather and many trails leading up to its summit. Whether you drive up in your personal vehicle (we didn't), take the Cog Train (our preferred way), or hike on foot, it is a… Full review by DutchLace

I have been to the summit on a bike and I had no problem , the road up is much better than it use to be : no guard rails : so be vigilant. No one will push you or rush you to the top. So no worries there , bring a jacket as it’s cold at the summit. Also check the weather for the day and try to go on a clear day ! You can see 7 states from the top if conditions are right . I’ve been going since the 60’s . You can take the cog Railway - Hike - or take the auto Road . Enjoy the highest peak this side of the Mississippi!!! Hope you go / it’s a beautiful ride ! Enjoy

Depends on the age of the children and fitness if you plan to hike it. If not if you plan to take the train or drive up it is fine for children. Lots of activitys and things for the kids to see up top including Extreme Mount Washington which I think 7 and up is two bucks 6 and under free.
