On the official website Masada reports such information. Please note: The entrance from Masada East is open to visitors – cable car only, without the Snake Path. For the time being, access is possible from the south only. The Snake Path, the Runner’s Path and Elazar Ascent are closed until further notice. Visitors may ascend via the Ramp Path from the west or via the cable car from the east, at an additional fee and by reservation. (As noted, for the benefit of visitors, on Fridays and Saturdays the cable car will operate especially on these days beginning at 5:00 a.m.)

Q:
Are advance reservations needed to use the cable car? I found the website of the masada national park and it says you should reserve to make sure you get in, however on the day we want to visit, the earliest option for reservation is after 12:00 noon, but we will be there at 10:00. I am a bit puzzled as nobody here really mentioned the reservations, do you think we will be able to go at 10:00 without a reservation? We will be arriving on our own without a tour. Any help/advice appreciated!
A:
I was there in April and reservations were required to go up via the tram.
Q:
There´s no cable car available in January, and now? Is it difficult to go to the top without the cable car?
A:
You can take the Snake Path, it is not beyond the capacities of the average person.
Q:
Are there bathrooms on top of the mountain?
A:
There are bathrooms available on Masada, keep a look out.
